Senior Dress Code

Year 13 students at Melville High School are not required to wear school uniform.
The non-uniform dress code requires a clean, tidy and appropriate standard of dress at all times. Boys must be clean-shaven.

Examples of Unacceptable Wear

Damaged, dirty or stained clothing or footwear.
Backless footwear or jandals.
Excessive jewellery or makeup (including obvious body piercing).
Clothing with inappropriate or offensive logos, illustrations and/or language (eg alcohol advertisements)
Tight, brief or revealing clothing.
Singlets or cycle pants.
Beanies.

The Dress Code is subject to annual review. The Principal will make the final decision regarding suitability of dress.

Please remember that wearing mufti is a privilege, and students who abuse the privilege may be required to return to uniform.

We encourage students to take pride in their appearance and ask that parents support the school by ensuring that their son/daughter maintains a clean, tidy and appropriate standard of dress.
